Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Public Relations Assistant to support the coordination, promotion, and execution of nonprofit fundraising events. This role offers hands-on experience in event operations, public engagement, donor relations, and community outreach—ideal for individuals interested in public relations, events, nonprofit work, or communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of fundraising and community events
  • Engage with event attendees to communicate nonprofit missions and encourage support
  • Represent nonprofit partners in a positive, professional, and public-facing manner
  • Support event logistics, including materials, displays, and on-site coordination
  • Distribute promotional and fundraising materials to increase awareness and engagement
  • Collect donor and attendee feedback and assist with basic post-event reporting
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth and successful events

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required — paid training provided
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
